Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: DynaMo at 100% against Vitruvian's 42%. DynaMo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 18.0). Vitruvian's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DynaMo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vitruvian has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Vitruvian's written reviews are positive against 100% of DynaMo's.
Vitruvian ships an update fortnightly, DynaMo monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
