Not Worth It
Expensive machine that requires subscription to fully work as intended. The app is not great, requiring you to check your email every log-in. Doesn’t track workouts if you don’t subscribe to app. I don’t recommend this to anyone. Save your money and get a gym membership.
Best fitness machine
I really like my Vitruvian. It’s a powerhouse and has a max capability of 440 lbs, the most of any digital resistance machine. It has terrific modes such as eccentric and echo that really add to the quality of my workout.
Love- gutted it’s liquidated
Love my machine & more than gutted the company has liquidated esp. after buying my lifetime subscription. Waiting for it to bricks using it while I can..so sad. An incredible machine.
Ripoff
After spending 3k on this machine ai would expect the app has decent functionality without a membership.
The app was already quite mediocre but I just found out that without the membership the app is completely useless.
This is really a ripoff. Shame on you thieves!

Good not great
Good app. Want: real time force output graph like ARX. Echo as basic feature, not paid. 130% eccentric echo. Easier ability to redo a set in a workout.
Good app but please keep me logged in
Its a decent app and works well enough for my sessions once I get going. would like the app the keep me logged in at all times. It seems like every week it’ll log me out or after some inactivity. At the very least I’d like to stay logged in for a month at a time.
Avoid at any cost
What do you do when the app decides to not connect to the trainer?
Nothing really, you just have a useless hunk of waste that cost way too much money that cannot be used.
The fact that the hardware is unusable without the buggy app is insane and a scam.

Great hardware, ok software, bad company
I love the Vitruvian trainer. It provides one of the most interesting and robust home resistance training options out there.
The software is fine for the most part, except when it stopped working for a very very long time due to poor operations.
That being said, it’s a start up and things like this happen.
The reason for the one star rating is the incredibly poor response by Vitruvian leadership.
The software outage was primarily greeted with silence and no details given.
At one point there was a very generic “we’re working on it” but this is the kind of d if situation that demands the CEO come out and explain exactly what happened and what’s being done.
The details are far less important than the high bandwidth communication.
You’ve done way more damage to your product by terrible communication than any amount of software mistake.

Subscription required
There should to be tiered subscription options. You pay a few thousand dollars for a machine that only fully works with the subscription, which is more expensive than it’s worth if you aren’t using any of the programming or classes. You can’t see your workout history or keep from hitting yourself in the face when your timed set is done because the sound to let you know it’s done is behind a paywall. This seems like a safety concern but the company isn’t interested in including this or other basic features in the price of the machine. You’ll get very little help from customer service if you aren’t a paid subscriber and no improvements have been made in the two years I’ve had the machine that are available to non-subscribers. If money isn’t a concern, it’s a great machine. If you don’t want to pay monthly on top of what the machine costs, look elsewhere.

I cannot believe how terrible the app and video content is!
I’ve had the board for a few years and having dipped in and out of the programs I can confirm that it’s hugely frustrating and not user focussed at all! Please work on your user content and journey! Firstly when I join a program the app doesn’t seem to remember so I spend the first few minutes trying to find the program again and trying to remember where I am! So frustrating!!!! Also I just find the videos really unhelpful. Why don’t they show the Ariel view and help describe foot positions, the front of back of the board. Sometimes seeing the motions and the detail up close would help in the early stages of getting familiar with the moves! Instead the camera just focuses on the instructor! Come on guys! I just think they miss a huge trick in making this user friendly to engage and retain usage! I can’t remember the last time the whole experience was smooth, functional and enjoyable! Poor customer experience and the journey is just not fit for the brand quality and quality/expense of the weight machine itself! Surely these guys can do better!!!!

Buggy
Vitruvian machine itself is great, really disappointed though that the app is super buggy

Needs strong internet connection to work
I recently moved to a very rural area and don’t have wifi. My cell connection is mediocre at best. I recently discovered that you need a strong internet connection to even connect to your trainer and use it. Utter garbage. A $3000 machine that can’t even work on its own. I get it, software and firmware need regular updates. But not being able to use a piece of hardware without an internet connection is asinine. It’s like not being able to use your washing machine without wifi. $3000 for what?

Meh
App is terrible. Very basic stuff behind paywall, hardware is expensive enough and the subscription is way too expensive for what it offers. Also the three rep set up is annoying and doesn’t work well. Finally, it’s annoying to have to keep tricking it to unlock more weight. Just let me select what I want.

Bricked machine!!
What an absolute joke, $3000+ machine that can be bricked because of an app issue..no offline mode?! Absolutely unacceptable. It’s been 48hrs and I still can’t use my machine… this company has lost some serious trust from its customers! If an offline mode doesn’t come in the next update be prepared for a lawsuit!

Useless

Unreliable app
Great piece of equipment, however app reliability is very spotty. Major issues with every update.
Garbage Product and App
Vitruvian is currently having issues with their servers, so the app is not working and completely bricked the trainer. Completely useless and still cost $40 per month. Would return if possible, don’t get stuck buying one of these lemons.
Profits over everything
Seems profits are the priority of Vitruvian, a machine that relies on the app and connectivity to work should have fantastic maintenance and updates. You pay a premium of $588(AUD) a year subscription so you expect the best, probably need to look at the system and have a back up option where you can login in the case of a problems and still be able to use the just lift function.
What’s the point of paying over $3000 for a machine that we can’t use 🤷🏻♂️ I’m actually hoping this machine breaks so I can go back to the traditional gym.
Lack of progress updates when things wrong just tops it off.
