Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: GearLog at 4.6 against Easy Deco's 3.0. GearLog also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Easy Deco's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Deco sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. GearLog asks for nothing beyond the download.
GearLog holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GearLog has 35 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of GearLog's written reviews are positive against 100% of Easy Deco's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GearLog ships an update weekly, Easy Deco every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
