GearLog is free to download; Spray costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Spray holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GearLog has 35 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of GearLog's written reviews are positive against 0% of Spray's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GearLog ships an update every 5 days, Spray every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
