Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: MicDropp at 100% against Instant Prompter's 50%. MicDropp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.5). Instant Prompter's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Prompter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MicDropp asks for nothing beyond the download.
Instant Prompter holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instant Prompter has 101 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Instant Prompter's written reviews are positive against 100% of MicDropp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Instant Prompter ships an update weekly, MicDropp every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
