Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Perrottis Pizza at none against Pie Tap's shown. Perrottis Pizza also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Pie Tap's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 62) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Pie Tap against 4.8 for Perrottis Pizza. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pie Tap has 1.2K ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Pie Tap ships an update every 4 months, Perrottis Pizza every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
