ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Capture One holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Capture One has 331 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Snap & Release's written reviews are positive against 18% of Capture One's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
