HyperCatcher is a podcast player with AI research built in, and it all runs on your device. HEY JAMIE Hear something worth looking up? Ask Hey Jamie. HyperCatcher transcribes the last stretch of audio on your iPhone, works out what the hosts were talking about, and pulls up the page itself: the book on Apple Books, the video on YouTube, the song on Apple Music, the news article, the research paper or the official website. Nothing leaves your phone. Hey Jamie uses Apple Intelligence and needs iOS 26 on a supported device. CHAPTERS, BROUGHT TO LIFE Podcasts that publish chapters appear as a deck of cards in the player: titles, pictures, show notes and web links, right where you are listening. Expand any card to nearly full screen, then swipe down to return to the episode. ACTIVITY FEED Every Hey Jamie result, bookmark and note is saved to your activity feed, so you can come back to it after the episode ends. TRANSCRIPTS Open the transcript and read along as you listen, all transcribed on your device. AND MORE • Discover charts and search for any podcast • Subscribe with RSS or import an OPML file from another app • CarPlay, Siri and Shortcuts: run Hey Jamie hands free • Light and dark mode

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DailyPod at 5.0 against HyperCatcher's 4.1. DailyPod also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). HyperCatcher's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

DailyPod holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HyperCatcher has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
HyperCatcher ships an update every 5 days, DailyPod every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
