The clearest difference is rating: CourseMIRROR at 3.0 against Gradescope's 1.4. Gradescope's advantage is ratings volume (259 vs 2) and review sentiment (9% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CourseMIRROR holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gradescope has 259 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of CourseMIRROR's written reviews are positive against 9% of Gradescope's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

CourseMIRROR ships an update monthly, Gradescope every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
