Verdict
The clearest difference is price: SoundEcho at Free against Space Wave Race's $2.99. SoundEcho also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 8 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 92%). Space Wave Race's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

SoundEcho is free to download; Space Wave Race costs $2.99 up front. SoundEcho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Space Wave Race asks for nothing beyond the download.
Space Wave Race holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space Wave Race has 92 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Space Wave Race's written reviews are positive against 100% of SoundEcho's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Space Wave Race ships an update every 8 months, SoundEcho every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
