Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Smith Auctions Live at none against Apple Tree Auction Centre's shown. Smith Auctions Live also leads on ratings volume (25 vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Apple Tree Auction Centre's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 16 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
