Good Samaritan
Read full descriptionHide full description
Good Samaritan is where neighbors give each other time. Most help doesn't take money. It takes an hour: a ride to an appointment, carrying groceries upstairs, setting up a new phone, a walk with someone who's lonely. Good Samaritan shows you who nearby could use that hour, and makes it easy to be the one who shows up. GIVE AN HOUR Open the app and see asks from verified neighbors near you. Every ask shows what's needed, when, and about how long it takes, so you can fit kindness into your day. Tap "I can help" and you're on your way. BE THE HELPER When a neighbor says yes to your offer, you both see "Someone's coming" with a name and a photo, and you can message each other in the app. The exact address is shared only with the one helper who was accepted. SHARE IT. MULTIPLY IT. Every ask, event and story comes with a beautiful share card. Send it by text or WhatsApp, or save it for your Instagram or Facebook story. Friends see a first name and the general area, never an address. One share can bring the person who shows up. EVERY HOUR COUNTS My Hub keeps track of the hours you've given and the neighbors you've helped. Share your impact and inspire someone else to give an hour. GIVE LOCALLY Want to do more? Browse a hand-picked list of local charities doing real good near you, each one an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Tap "Give on their site" and you'll go straight to the organization's own website. Good Samaritan never handles money and never takes a cut. THE COMMUNITY BOARD Good news, shout-outs, lost & found and recommendations from your neighborhood. Say thank you in public, read real stories from neighbors, and lift each other up on the prayer wall (anonymously if you prefer). ORGANIZE TOGETHER Beach clean-ups, food drives, meal trains. Create an event, add roles like "2 drivers, 6 bag runners," and watch the spots fill. People who join see the meeting point and get a reminder. SAFETY COMES FIRST • New members are reviewed by a real person before they can post or help • Exact addresses stay private until you accept a helper • Report or block anyone from any post, profile or chat • Posts are screened, and every report is reviewed by our team • Clear community guidelines and safety tips. For adults 18+ • Not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911 Sign in with Apple, Google, or email. Now in Miami and South Carolina, growing neighborhood by neighborhood. Give an hour. Someone will be glad you showed up. Terms: https://goodsamaritanapp.com/legal/terms Privacy: https://goodsamaritanapp.com/legal/privacy
