About

Lokah

Features

Lokah is a browser built for the way you actually use the web on your phone: you find something worth keeping, so you keep it. Hold on any video, image or audio clip on a page and save it. It lands in your own folder-organised library, ready to watch offline, trim, or move somewhere private — without ever leaving the app. HOLD TO SAVE • Long-press an image, a video, an audio clip or a link for Download, Download to…, Save to Photos, Open in New Tab, Copy or Share. • Works inside embedded players too, even when the video sits underneath a control overlay. • A badge appears in the address bar the moment a page has something worth keeping. Tap it to see everything found, with whatever is playing right now at the top. REAL FILES, NOT LOCKED PACKAGES • Streaming playlists are fetched piece by piece and rebuilt into an ordinary MP4 — no re-encoding, no quality lost. • Choose the resolution before you save: 1080p, 720p, 480p or 360p, each listed with its bit rate and codec. • Everything lands in Files › On My iPhone › Lokah, so you can share it, back it up or open it in any other app. AD AND POP-UP BLOCKING, BUILT IN • Hundreds of ad, tracking and analytics hosts blocked before a single byte loads. • Pop-unders, forced redirects and invisible tap-catchers laid over the player are stopped. • Full-screen ad overlays, interstitials and "turn off your ad blocker" walls are cleared away, and scrolling is handed back to you. • Alert loops from ad frames are dismissed without ever interrupting you. • Pause protection on one site without weakening it everywhere else. PLAYER • One player for every file you save, with sound that carries on when you switch apps or lock the screen. • A floating pop-up window you can drag anywhere on the page — watch one video while another plays. • Picture in Picture, AirPlay, and controls on the lock screen and in Control Centre. • Music player with artwork, an editable queue, shuffle and repeat. Play any folder as a playlist. TRIM AND CROP • Cut a clip with in and out handles on a live filmstrip. • Drag a crop box, with free, square, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4 and 4:5 presets. • Exports a new file and leaves the original untouched. PRIVACY • Private folder: files moved here vanish from the Files app and Spotlight, are encrypted on disk, stay unreadable while your phone is locked, and are left out of backups. Face ID to open, re-locked the moment you switch apps. • App Lock: Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode every time you open Lokah. • Private tabs that remember nothing, and one switch to stop recording history in every tab. BROWSING • Multiple tabs with live previews, plus private tabs. • Open anything in a background tab — from the hold-to-save sheet, bookmarks, history or favourites. • Bookmarks with folders, searchable history, desktop-site mode, and your choice of search engine. • A start page with your favourites, live download progress and your most recent files. DOWNLOADS THAT FINISH • Transfers keep running while the app is in the background, with pause, resume, retry and cancel. • Decide how many run at once. • A notification when one finishes, with a thumbnail. • File by type automatically into Videos, Images, Audio and Documents, or pick the folder yourself. IMPORT AND EXPORT • Bring in video, photos and documents from Photos or Files — no network needed. • "Copy to Lokah" from any app's share sheet. • Send anything out to iCloud Drive, another app or an external drive. Lokah is made for saving content you have the right to save: your own recordings, files you have permission to keep, and media that is offered for download.
