FlightBites is where flight crews eat, and where they remember it. Search any airport code to find restaurants near the FBO rated by other crews, and journal every stop so six months from now, at the same field, you know exactly where to go. Built by an active Part 135 pilot who was tired of gambling a 90-minute fuel stop on a random search result, FlightBites answers two questions: where do crews actually eat here, and where was that place I loved last time? YOUR PRIVATE FOOD JOURNAL • Log every stop: rating, notes, photos, and the date. Your personal logbook of everywhere you've eaten on the road • Your journal is yours alone. Exact visit dates and private notes are never visible to anyone else, enforced in the database, not just hidden in the app • See all your stops pinned on a personal map, or browse them by airport FIND FOOD FAST • Search by airport code (KTEB, KVNY, KMDW…) and see every crew-recommended spot near the field • Crew-only star ratings, "would return" stats, real reviews, and photos • Filter by cuisine, sort by distance from the field, browse the list or the map • One-tap directions linked straight to Apple Maps or Google Maps SHARE ON YOUR TERMS • Sharing a review is opt-in, visit by visit. Journal privately and share only the ones you want to • Post under your name or anonymously as a role label like "Part 135 Captain" • Shared reviews show only approximate dates ("this month"), never when your aircraft was on the field BUILT FOR CREWS • Part 91, Part 135, flight instructors, GA pilots, and any hungry crewmember headed to an FBO • Every restaurant was added by a real crew member who ate there • No ads, no trackers, no selling your data Land. Search your airport. Eat well. Remember it.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: FlightBites at none against Walk's shown. FlightBites also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Walk's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
FlightBites holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Walk has 4.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Walk ships an update every 2 months, FlightBites fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
