OneView
Read full descriptionHide full description
OneView turns a short secret into a one time link that can be opened once, then it's gone. Write it, lock it, send it. Type a short message and OneView encrypts it on your device with AES-256-GCM before anything leaves your phone - the same standard, OS-provided cryptography used across iOS, not a homemade cipher. Choose how long the link stays alive: one open, one hour, 24 hours, or 7 days. Then share the link however you already talk to people - Messages, Mail, or any app with a share sheet. The key never touches our server. The decryption key travels only in the link itself, after the "#" - a part of the URL that browsers and servers never transmit over the network. Our server only ever stores the ciphertext, a random token, and an expiry time - never your plaintext or your key. Ciphertext expiry is enforced automatically: once the timer runs out, the encrypted bytes are deleted for good, so nobody who only has access to the server - not us, not an attacker who steals the database - can ever read what you wrote. One open, then it's really gone. The moment the recipient opens the link and confirms they want to reveal it, the secret is deleted from the server - a single atomic hand-off, so two people racing to open the same link can't both see it. Whoever opens it first sees the message; anyone after sees a plain "this can't be shown" screen, whether it was already opened, expired, or never existed - so the screen itself never reveals which case it was. No account required, on either end. There is no sign-up and no login, and the recipient on the other end doesn't need this app installed either - the link opens in any browser and decrypts right there, so anyone you send it to can read it once. Built-in daily limit, with an optional boost. You get 3 new secrets a day at no cost. Need one more? An optional short video ad on the usage screen adds 3 extra creations for that day - never during writing, sharing, or reading a secret. Skipping the ad changes nothing about the secrets you've already made or the ones you can still read. Accessible from the first tap. Every screen honors your Dynamic Type setting, VoiceOver narrates each control in a logical order, status is never carried by color alone, and motion calms down when Reduce Motion is on. Tap targets stay comfortably large, so nothing needs a second, more careful attempt. Languages: English, νκ΅μ΄, ζ₯ζ¬θͺ, ηΉι«δΈζ, Deutsch, FranΓ§ais, EspaΓ±ol. What OneView does not promise: it can't stop a recipient from screenshotting or copying what they read, and once someone has the link before it expires, they can open it - share it only with people you trust to see it once.
GhostCode

Send a photo everyone can see. Hide a message only your person can read. GhostCode hides a real, encrypted message inside an ordinary photo. Write up to 4,000 characters, pick any picture, and set a Key. You get back a photo that looks completely normal. Text it, post it, share it anywhere. Only someone with GhostCode and your Key can open what is inside. One image. Two audiences. You decide who gets the real meaning. WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR β’ A love note hidden inside the photo you send every morning β’ A scavenger hunt clue only the birthday person can unlock β’ A members-only drop for your fans behind one ordinary picture β’ The wifi password for your houseguests, inside the welcome photo β’ A whole letter, not a one-liner: up to 4,000 characters per photo HOW IT WORKS 1. Write your message and pick a photo (or a QR code) 2. Set a Key, a passphrase only you and your people know 3. Share the photo anywhere, like any other photo 4. They open it in GhostCode, enter the Key, and unlock the real message MORE THAN PHOTOS β’ Pixel Ghosting: on-device AI bonds your encrypted message to the picture, and the photo looks identical to the naked eye β’ QR mode: pack your message into a QR code that scans on any phone β’ Decoy Link (QR): one code, two destinations. Everyone gets a public page, people with the Key get the real one β’ Failsafe: a decoy Key reveals an alternate message β’ Self-destruct: a reveal stops working after the window you choose PRIVATE BY DESIGN β’ No account, no sign-up, no login β’ Your readable message and your Key never leave your device β’ Strong, standard encryption (AES-256-GCM with passphrase hardening) β’ Sensitive screens are protected, and data deletion is honored in-app GHOST MODE (optional upgrade) GhostCode is free to use, with some limits. Ghost Mode unlocks unlimited protected creates, unlimited saved Keys, Decoy Link, extended self-destruct timers, and Failsafe filters. Ghost Mode is a subscription billed weekly or yearly (with a free trial on the weekly plan). It renews automatically unless cancelled, and you can manage or cancel anytime from your store account. Full terms are shown on the purchase screen. A NOTE ON HOW IT STAYS SECURE Revealing a protected message needs a one-time check with GhostCode's verification service, which stops brute-force guessing and lets messages self-destruct or be revoked. GhostCode never sees your Key or your readable message. For photo (Pixel Ghosting) messages, your encrypted message is stored on GhostCode's servers for the message's lifetime, so it can be revealed and auto-deleted; it stays encrypted and cannot be read without your Key. It is deleted at self-destruct or expiry, or right away when you request data deletion. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OneView at none against GhostCode's 4. GhostCode's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 75 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
