Run your healthcare simulation room with Apple devices. Sibyl Sim helps faculty prepare, control, observe, record, and review educational scenarios on iPhone and iPad. PREPARE A ROOM YOU CAN REUSE Choose one to three cameras and the number of additional viewing rooms; zero means Control Hub only. Connect and approve devices, check readiness, and save rooms for reuse. Setup can show controls beside a camera preview when space permits. Preview on this Hub requests a silent local view; Start viewing separately applies the room choices. Room Check and sound or speech setup remain available. GIVE EACH DEVICE A ROLE Control Hub: Run the session from iPhone or iPad. View approved camera feeds, select the Main Camera for audio and recording, and share your chosen layout with selected Viewing Displays. Viewing and recording have separate controls. Mark important moments and keep Privacy Stop within reach. Camera: Use an iPhone or iPad as a room camera and microphone. Choose supported rear lenses, check readiness, and keep capture under faculty control. Viewing Display: Watch the approved program on another iPhone or iPad, or use the separate Apple TV companion. Expand a camera locally and rotate its live picture in 90-degree steps. Local adjustments do not change recordings, audio sources, or another display. CONTROL VIDEO AND SOUND TOGETHER Keep Live video beside sound controls and an inline patient-response editor when space permits. Compact windows and larger text stack the workspace. Retain your draft as the display changes, use Done typing, and save locally. Saving does not play audio; Play on Device targets the named recipient. Preview Here stays on the Hub; Stop remains available. Use built-in scenario cues, reviewed imported audio, or recorded responses. Pin frequent sounds. Prepare fictional-patient responses from common phrases or custom text using an available English system voice. Preview wording and pronunciation, then save locally before sending. Supported camera devices and routes provide microphone echo protection while mixing a cue into outgoing camera audio. Built-in-speaker cues during live capture require that protection. Deployment policy still controls permitted outputs. RETURN TO IMPORTANT MOMENTS Review Main Camera recordings with Moments, Transcript, Ask, Privacy, and Sounds. Add or edit a moment beside saved video when space permits, or in a compact sheet. Keep the unsaved draft across layout changes, then Save or Cancel. Search transcript timestamps, keep private notes, and choose learner takeaways to share. Review suggested sound events before marking them. Recordings capture the selected Main Camera, not every angle. Resizing or rotating a camera preview preserves the active stream's outgoing orientation. To change live framing orientation, finish recording, stop viewing, rotate the camera device, and start a new stream. OPTIONAL OFFLINE SPEECH Prepare supported language assets before going offline. Optional Hub captions and saved-recording transcripts depend on device, language, and installed assets. Speech setup does not activate the microphone or start recording. FACULTY-CONTROLLED PRIVACY Privacy Stop blocks recording, broadcasting, camera streaming, and remote sounds until faculty explicitly turns it off. Releasing it does not restart media automatically. Pairing and session approval are required before sharing. After installation and provisioning, Sibyl Sim is designed to operate on an approved local network without Internet access. Recordings and transcript evidence remain in protected local storage on the Hub. Faculty choose what to share. Automatic LAN is the default; Campus Direct and Ethernet Required support IT-approved deployments. For education and simulation only. Sibyl Sim is not a clinical monitor or medical device and must not be used for patient care. Institutions are responsible for consent, privacy, retention, security review, and device management.
