Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: IPTV+ Smart Player at 3.9 against NexTv's 1.7. IPTV+ Smart Player also leads on ratings volume (328 vs 12). NexTv's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 38%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. IPTV+ Smart Player sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and NexTv sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
IPTV+ Smart Player holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV+ Smart Player has 328 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of IPTV+ Smart Player's written reviews are positive against 53% of NexTv's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
IPTV+ Smart Player ships an update monthly, NexTv every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
