Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: GeekLink at none against vRare's shown. GeekLink also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). vRare's advantage is ratings volume (136 vs 2) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
GeekLink holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: vRare has 136 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
vRare ships an update every 6 weeks, GeekLink weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
