Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Razer Audio at 8.6K against EA Connect's 133. Razer Audio also leads on review sentiment (37% vs 21%). EA Connect's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
EA Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Razer Audio has 8.6K ratings behind it against 133, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Razer Audio's written reviews are positive against 21% of EA Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Razer Audio ships an update monthly, EA Connect fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
