Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: DramaStory at 91% against STAGE Films, Web's 48%. STAGE Films, Web's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. STAGE Films, Web sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and DramaStory sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
STAGE Films, Web holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: STAGE Films, Web has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of STAGE Films, Web's written reviews are positive against 91% of DramaStory's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
STAGE Films, Web ships an update every 5 days, DramaStory every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
