Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Watch V7 at 3.0 against RC FPV's 2.4. Watch V7 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). RC FPV's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (501 vs 40). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Watch V7 holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RC FPV has 501 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of RC FPV's written reviews are positive against 8% of Watch V7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
RC FPV ships an update every 4 weeks, Watch V7 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
