Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Napoleon's Eagles at 88% against Lingopie's 38%. Napoleon's Eagles also leads on ads (none vs shown). Lingopie's advantage is price (Free vs $9.99) and rating (4.4 vs 3.9). On update cadence, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Lingopie is free to download; Napoleon's Eagles costs $9.99 up front. Lingopie sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and Napoleon's Eagles sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Lingopie holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lingopie has 2.2K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Lingopie's written reviews are positive against 88% of Napoleon's Eagles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Lingopie ships an update fortnightly, Napoleon's Eagles every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
