Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Serializd at 4.5 against Sniff.'s 3.2. Serializd also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 42%) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 98). Sniff.'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Serializd holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Serializd has 1.2K ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Sniff.'s written reviews are positive against 62% of Serializd's.
Sniff. ships an update every 6 weeks, Serializd every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
