Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Polywave at 80% against Claravox's 0%. Polywave also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 3). Claravox's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Claravox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Polywave has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Claravox's written reviews are positive against 80% of Polywave's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Claravox ships an update every 3 weeks, Polywave every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
