About

ShortbliP

Social should start with the people around you. ShortbliP is a nearby-first social app for the people, places and moments around you right now. Discover who’s nearby. Set a Vibe. Send a Wave. Start a Blip. Share a Moment. Join a Huddle. Create a local Event. And when someone you meet becomes a real connection, keep the conversation going with Far Reach. ShortbliP is social without the endless global feed. No follower race. No advertising algorithm deciding what you should see. Nearby comes first. Meet people nearby • Discover people who are physically nearby • See when a Connect is live and available • Set a temporary Nearby Vibe • Send a Wave before starting a Blip • Find shared interests with people around you • Recognize people you’ve crossed paths with before • Keep personal Nearby Memories on your iPhone • Use Quiet Mode whenever you don’t want to be discoverable • See nearby place context with Apple Maps Share what’s happening • Share posts with people around you • Create temporary Moments • Create Shared Moments with people who are genuinely nearby • Reply privately to Moments • See nearby activity with Local Pulse • Start temporary Huddles • Create local Events • Create and discover place-bound Spots • Share photos without building a permanent cloud social-media library From Nearby to Far Reach A real connection shouldn’t disappear when you leave the room. When two people mutually Connect, Far Reach lets their private conversation continue after they move apart. ShortbliP works across available secure delivery paths in the background, while Nearby itself remains about physical proximity. Nearby is how you meet. Connect is how you choose each other. Far Reach is how the conversation continues. Private messaging, with intelligence on your iPhone ShortbliP includes encrypted private messaging for your Connects. On supported iPhones with Apple Intelligence, private message tools can help you: • Catch up on a conversation • Suggest a reply • Polish a message before you send it • Translate the latest message • Ask a question about the current chat These tools run on your iPhone. Your conversation is not sent to a cloud AI model, and suggested text is never sent unless you choose to send it. Privacy and safety built in Private-message safety checks run on device. Potentially high-risk incoming messages can be hidden behind a warning, with controls to reveal, report or block. Protect ShortbliP with a 4-digit PIN and, on supported iPhones, Face ID. Your ShortbliP PIN stays on your iPhone. Nearby place context does not become a raw location-history feed. Posts, Moments and images remain creator-led and distributed rather than becoming a permanent cloud content library. ShortbliP is designed for real-world presence, mutual choice and conversations that start with a reason to say hello. 1980 had no Wi-Fi. Still had a social life. ShortbliP. Back when social meant nearby.
