Both are free to download. IMAX sells 19 one-off in-app purchases. IYO AI asks for nothing beyond the download.
IYO AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 34 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of IMAX's written reviews are positive against 0% of IYO AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
IMAX ships an update monthly, IYO AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
