Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Disc In at 100% against Disc's 43%. Disc In also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Disc's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (61 vs 7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Disc sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Disc In asks for nothing beyond the download.
Disc holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Disc has 61 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Disc In's written reviews are positive against 43% of Disc's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Disc In ships an update monthly, Disc every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
