Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Scheels at 14K against Ridges Golf's 22. Scheels also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Scheels against 4.8 for Ridges Golf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scheels has 14K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
