Verdict
Hobbii and MoCoPass both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MoCoPass's written reviews are positive against 66% of Hobbii's. MoCoPass also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 17.0). Hobbii's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 11). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Hobbii against 5.0 for MoCoPass. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hobbii has 3.6K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 66% of Hobbii's written reviews are positive against 100% of MoCoPass's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
