Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Evidence 111 at 4.7 against SoundEcho's 4.3. Evidence 111 also leads on ratings volume (96 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). SoundEcho's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Evidence 111 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SoundEcho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Evidence 111 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evidence 111 has 96 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Evidence 111's written reviews are positive against 100% of SoundEcho's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Evidence 111 ships an update every 4 weeks, SoundEcho every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
