Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Moof at $2.99 against Moofer's $9.99. Moof also leads on rating (3.5 vs 3.2) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). Moofer's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 26%) and ratings volume (50 vs 4). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Moof holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moofer has 50 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Moofer's written reviews are positive against 26% of Moof's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Moofer ships an update every 10 days, Moof every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
