We plan the wedding — never the life. Vow Prep is for two people about to build a life together: engaged, moving in, getting a PACS, or simply committing for real. Before you merge two lives, there are conversations worth having — honestly, and out loud. Playful, but real. Swipe through beautifully written cards across 9 decks that sweep every corner of life as a couple: - Start Here - the warm-up - Money - spending, saving, "yours, mine, ours" - Kids - if, when, how - Family - in-laws, boundaries, traditions - Intimacy - closeness, needs, expectations - Values - what you stand for - Conflict - how you fight and repair - Meaning - faith, purpose, whatever you each believe - Daily Life - chores, space, routines Answer together, apart. Each of you keeps the app on your own phone, answers a card privately, then reveals both answers side by side - and talks. Honest, a little vulnerable, always yours. One-time unlock. Buy it once, keep every deck forever. No subscription. Before you say "we", have the conversations that matter.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vow Prep at 100% against Flex's 48%. Vow Prep also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2). Flex's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flex sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Vow Prep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Vow Prep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flex has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Flex's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vow Prep's.
Flex ships an update every 3 weeks, Vow Prep every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
