A Simple Pause vs My Quiet Place

Enjoy one of 6 different practices as you pause to spend around 5 minutes with God in the midst of your day. Lectio Divina - Listen for God’s message as you hear a small portion of scripture with room to ponder. Imagine - Enter prayerfully into a scene from the scriptures to broaden your experience and relationship with God. Visio Divina - Enjoy your gift of sight as you invite God to speak to your heart as you gaze at an image. Simply Scripture - Restfully listen to the gentle reading of selections of scripture. Audio Divina - Sacred listening with God using your gift of hearing. Music and other beautiful sounds. Simple Silence - Ahhh…Close your eyes and rest in silence with God for 5 minutes and we’ll keep track of the time.

Sometimes it can be hard to hear the voice of God. By going to a quiet place and practicing the spiritual disciplines of prayer, journaling and meditation, we can often sense God's presence in our lives. In My Quiet Place, you have a section for organizing prayer requests and saving them as a reminder of how God has answered those prayers over time. There is a section for doing guided Lectio Divina (Divine Reading) scripture meditations, a section for open-ended conversational journaling with God, a section of daily reminders, and a collection of wisdom you have gained over your life. By taking time each day to pray, journal and remember God's plan for your life, you will feel the presence of God active in your heart and in your life.
