Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Electricity Spot Prices at 4.5 against MitID's 1.2. Electricity Spot Prices also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). MitID's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (200 vs 22). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Electricity Spot Prices sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per year. MitID asks for nothing beyond the download.
Electricity Spot Prices holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MitID has 200 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of MitID's written reviews are positive against 0% of Electricity Spot Prices's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MitID ships an update every 2 months, Electricity Spot Prices fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
