Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: HolyStone at 3.5 against SENTRY Drone's 1.8. HolyStone also leads on ratings volume (111 vs 4). SENTRY Drone's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
HolyStone holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HolyStone has 111 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of HolyStone's written reviews are positive against 33% of SENTRY Drone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
HolyStone ships an update every 3 months, SENTRY Drone monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
