Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Airthings at fortnightly against Taneytown Connect's every 3 months. Airthings also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 2). Taneytown Connect's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
