Some things don’t get said. Not because they don’t matter — because the moment passes, the words don’t come, or the cost feels too high. Those things don’t disappear. They accumulate. The Unsaid is a private space to release them. Every time you hold something back — at work, at home, with someone you love — you can let it go here instead. Speak it or write it. No audience. Just the release. Over time, The Unsaid shows you the shape of what you carry. VOICE OR TEXT, BOTH SEARCHABLE Record a voice entry or type it. Voice entries are transcribed on your iPhone with Apple’s on-device speech recognition — your audio isn’t sent anywhere to be transcribed. Every word is searchable alongside your typed entries. PATTERNS THAT ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING After ten entries, The Unsaid starts surfacing what you’d never notice in the moment — who you hold back from most, the feeling that shows up most often underneath, when it tends to build, and how it shifts from month to month. WHERE IT LIVES — NEW After you release something, you can mark where you feel it: throat, chest, jaw, shoulders, stomach, hands, or head. Over time, Patterns shows where you tend to carry what you hold back, with a short grounding exercise for that spot. BEFORE YOU SEE THEM — NEW Link the names you use in your calendar, like “Mom” or “Dana.” Before plans with them, The Unsaid can give you a gentle heads-up and a short brief: what’s been unsaid lately, how it went the last time you spoke up, and help finding the words. Optional, and your calendar is read on your iPhone only. YOUR MONTHLY LETTER Each month, once you’ve released enough, The Unsaid writes you a private letter. Not a summary — a reflection on what you’ve been holding, what’s changed, and what the patterns are quietly asking you to look at. Written on your device from your own patterns. REFLECTIONS A place in the Patterns tab to write down what you’re noticing about yourself as you read your own patterns. Entries are the things you didn’t say; reflections are what you’re learning by paying attention. HELP ME SAY IT Pick any entry and see three ways you could actually say it — direct, gentle, or as a written note. Use one, use none, or let reading them be enough. OUTCOME TRACKING When you do say the thing, mark it, and log how it went. Over time you’ll see, in your own numbers, how often speaking up went better than you feared. HOME SCREEN WIDGET — NEW See how much you’ve released today, and tap to release another. EXPORTS Three ways to take your data with you: a password-protected PDF of your monthly letter (useful for sharing with a therapist), an encrypted backup for moving to a new iPhone, and a password-protected archive with spreadsheets and an interactive viewer for browsing your entries outside the app. PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY PROMISE Your entries, voice recordings, transcripts, letters, and reflections are encrypted on your iPhone with AES-256-GCM, using a key kept in your device’s Keychain. There are no accounts and no servers — so there’s nothing for us to read. Your entries are excluded from iCloud backup, and nothing leaves your iPhone unless you choose to export or share it. Lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, with your passcode as a fallback. Lock Screen notifications never mention people or feelings. WHAT THE UNSAID IS NOT The Unsaid is a personal reflection tool. It is not therapy, counseling, crisis support, or a substitute for professional mental health care. If you’re going through something that feels like more than you can carry alone, please reach out to someone who can really help. In the US, call or text 988. Outside the US, findahelpline.com lists crisis lines by country — and it’s always one tap away in Settings → Support. Free for 14 days, then $19.99 once for lifetime access. No subscription. No ads. No data collected or sold. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
