Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dah at 100% against Gradescope's 9%. Dah also leads on rating (4.4 vs 1.4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Gradescope's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (259 vs 8). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Dah sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Gradescope asks for nothing beyond the download.
Dah holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gradescope has 259 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 9% of Gradescope's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dah's.
Gradescope ships an update every 2 months, Dah fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
