Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Knaukey at 100% against Clockout's 62%. Knaukey also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Clockout's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clockout sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Knaukey asks for nothing beyond the download.
Clockout holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clockout has 8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Clockout's written reviews are positive against 100% of Knaukey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Clockout ships an update weekly, Knaukey every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
