The call

The clearest difference is rating: NX Field at 4.3 against Westcott's 2.9. Westcott's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

NX Field holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of NX Field's written reviews are positive against 42% of Westcott's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

NX Field ships an update every 7 months, Westcott every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
