Our HARD WORKERS also gain access to our members-only support platform, where they can ask questions, receive feedback, watch exclusive content and engage with others in the community around the world. No matter how or where you move, all we ask is that you live out our core values in and out of the gym: SHOW UP. Do today what others won’t so tomorrow you can do what others can’t. WORK HARD. Define success for yourself and be relentless in your pursuit of it; it’s about the process. MAKE YOURSELF PROUD. Do things with intention and set an example of HARD WORK for those around you.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: HWPO Training at 4.9 against TimerWOD's 4.3. HWPO Training also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
HWPO Training holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HWPO Training has 3.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of TimerWOD's written reviews are positive against 80% of HWPO Training's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TimerWOD ships an update every 2 months, HWPO Training every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
