Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TimerWOD at none against WODBumP's 2. TimerWOD also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 70%). WODBumP's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

WODBumP holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WODBumP has 37 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of TimerWOD's written reviews are positive against 70% of WODBumP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

TimerWOD ships an update every 2 weeks, WODBumP weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
