TCG Value Scanner also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 98). Both are free to download. TCG Value Scanner sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. AGS Collector asks for nothing beyond the download.
TCG Value Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TCG Value Scanner has 1.2K ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of AGS Collector's written reviews are positive against 27% of TCG Value Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AGS Collector ships an update every 2 months, TCG Value Scanner every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
