Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: SILLY WIDGET at 90% against noteit's 43%. SILLY WIDGET also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). noteit's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. noteit sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and SILLY WIDGET sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
noteit holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: noteit has 99K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of noteit's written reviews are positive against 90% of SILLY WIDGET's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
noteit ships an update fortnightly, SILLY WIDGET every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
