Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: myWOD at 4.7 against Workout Log's 3.7. myWOD also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (55 vs 3). Workout Log's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Workout Log sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and myWOD sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
myWOD holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: myWOD has 55 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Workout Log's written reviews are positive against 90% of myWOD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Workout Log ships an update every 6 weeks, myWOD every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
