The DiSC is a behavioural self-assessment tool derived from the DISC theory of emotion and behaviour, which was developed by the psychologist William Moulton Marston.Marston's theory focuses on four major personality traits: Dominance (D), Influence (I), Stability (S) and Compliance (C). Later, industrial psychologist Walter Vernon Clarke translated this theory into a practical behavioural assessment tool. Notably, personality expert and researcher Merrick Rosenberg advanced the contemporary application of the DiSC model, particularly in the areas of team development, relationships, and political election campaigns.
