SmartCut is a cutlist optimizer for iPhone and iPad. Enter your parts and the sheets or lengths you can buy, and it works out how to cut them with the least waste. You get the cutting diagrams, the number of sheets you need, where every offcut falls, and a cut-by-cut sequence you can follow at the saw. MATERIALS Sheet materials such as plywood, MDF, chipboard, acrylic, glass and sheet metal, and linear stock such as construction timber, bar, pipe and extrusion. Work in decimals or fractions, in whichever units you use. CUT TYPES • Guillotine — for saws that cut edge to edge in a straight line, such as a table saw or beam saw. Choose length cuts for ripping, or width cuts for cross-cutting on a mitre saw or a cross-cut sled. • Efficiency — the default. Prioritises the fewest cuts and the least waste, ideal for a jigsaw, laser cutter or CNC. REAL-WORLD DETAIL The plan matches how the material will actually be cut: • Blade width, so the kerf is not quietly ignored • Grain direction, with a per-part lock to length or width • Edge banding on any side of a part • Stock trim, to skip damaged or unsquare edges • Infinite stock, when you can buy as many sheets as you need FEATURES • Fast and accurate layouts • Sheet / 2D / boards / panels • Linear / 1D / bars / rods • Decimals and fractions, with quick fraction entry • Colour-coded materials, so a mixed job stays readable • Stack identical layouts • Save and reopen projects • Export to PDF to print for the workshop AT THE SAW Step through the cuts one at a time, with measurements shown from both sides so you can check yourself against either edge. Or print the PDF and take it to the bench. ALSO AVAILABLE Cutlist Evolution runs the same optimizer in any web browser, on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, with nothing to install. cutlistevo.com FEEDBACK hello@cutrevolution.com TERMS OF USE https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Yieldsaw

Features

Stop guessing how much wood to buy. If you've ever bought an extra sheet of plywood "just in case," eyeballed a cut list on the back of an envelope, or realized halfway through a project that you're one board short — Yieldsaw is built for exactly that moment. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Yieldsaw takes the parts you need to cut and works out the most efficient way to get them from your available stock — sheets, boards, or lengths of timber — so you buy only what you actually need and waste as little as possible. No spreadsheets, no manual arithmetic, no leftover offcuts piling up in the corner of the workshop. You have the final say on the layout Yieldsaw's engine finds an efficient cutting layout automatically — but you're never stuck with it. Drag and reposition any part by hand, and the layout re-validates live as you move things, catching overlaps, grain direction, and blade kerf spacing before you commit. Once it looks right to you, save it and go. Plan at your desk. Cut in the workshop. Set up your project on the web when you've got a proper screen and a coffee — enter your parts, your stock sizes, your material. Then pick up your phone at the saw and follow the cutting sequence step by step, exactly where you need it most. One account. Works everywhere. Subscribe once and your projects, plans, and stock are the same whether you're on the web or in the app. No separate logins, no losing your work if you clear your browser or switch devices — your account is genuinely yours, everywhere. Built for real workshops, not just spreadsheets: Smart cutting engine that finds efficient layouts across sheet goods and dimensional lumber Manual drag-and-drop layout editing with live overlap and kerf validation Step-by-step cut sequences you can follow at the saw Export your cutting diagrams as PDF, PNG, or DXF Automatic shopping lists — know exactly what to buy before you start Warehouse and stock tracking, so leftover material from one job gets used on the next instead of forgotten Camera-assisted measurement to speed up capturing real-world dimensions Who it's for: Whether you're building your first bookshelf or running a full cabinet shop, Yieldsaw scales with you. Hobbyists get a genuinely useful free tier to learn on — not a countdown of trial calculations. Professionals get the stock management and export tools to run real jobs. Try it properly, free. The free plan includes every feature — the cutting engine, exports, shopping lists, stock tracking, all of it. It's limited to 2 active projects and 10 active cutting plans at a time; archive old ones to free up space, or upgrade when you need more room to work. Nothing gets locked away behind a paywall you have to discover the hard way. Start your first cut list in minutes. Buy less. Waste less. Cut once.
