DATS Mobile vs Ftrax

DATS is a combination of a web application that is accessed through an internet connection and browser (DATS Web), and a smartphone/tablet app that runs independently of an internet connection (DATS Mobile). Together, they help you and your people do all the heavy lifting! Some important DATS Mobile features include: Notifications & Quick Checks – DATS Mobile allows you to opt-in to push notifications when important things happen in DATS that directly pertain to your account, and your responsibilities. Mobile Training Wallet – Your DATS Mobile account holds all of your training records so they can quickly be referenced should you ever need to produce them for a company representative, customer, or auditor. Training Verification – Use DATS Mobile to scan employee QR codes (possibly on hardhats or ID cards) to confirm their training and subsequent site and/or equipment access or permissions. Reference Materials – Even in the middle of nowhere you can reference important documentation like operators’ manuals or troubleshooting guides. To find documents you can either search the directory, or scan a QR code. Conduct Inspections – Initiate equipment or worksite inspections even when offline. Make things ever quicker by having QWR codes on each piece of equipment, scan it, and get started! Mobile Form Submission – Access any of your company forms and get them moving forward. If you are offline, DATS Mobile will store your records for you so they can be submitted and routed to the correct people once you rerun to connectivity. Company Directory – Access important company contact information that is always current. DATS Mobile confirms the people, and contact information is correct, every time you start-up the app.

Ftrax from the Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors (CAGC) is an app specifically designed for Trainers and Assessors involved in the training and assessment of those directly involved in the manual tree falling profession. Trainers and Assessors are also known as QST’s, Tutors, and Certified Falling Supervisors. The app is designed to create and submit reports related to any training and assessing activities in the falling industry. Features include working across any device, working offline when in areas of limited or no internet service and synching across all devices when back in internet service. The Administrator assigns accounts for Trainers and Assessors and is designed so the trainee or candidate can access their report when completed and approved by the administrator. All trainers and assessors must be in good standing with the administrator (CAGC) to use the app.
