The sequel to the OG mobile hacking game, Hack Ex, is here. Hack Ex 2 is a real-time multiplayer hacker simulator with crews, PvP raids, and daily missions. Thousands of players compete in real-time to hack each other's in-game devices. Scan for victims, crack their defenses, drain crypto wallets, and upload viruses to slow your opponents — but stay sharp, because someone's trying to do the same to you. SCAN & EXPLOIT Find targets, assess their defenses, and launch your attack. BUILD YOUR ARSENAL Upgrade your bypass, cracker, spam, rootkit, siphon virus, and more. Use keygens to unlock software on the cheap. Every upgrade makes you faster and deadlier. UPGRADE YOUR RIG From a basic Raider to the Nova Ultra — your device and network speed determine how fast your hacks land. Faster rig = more targets per hour. STEAL & STASH Drain crypto (in-game) from wallets. Be sure to store it in Cold Storage before someone hacks you back. DEFEND OR GET WRECKED Firewalls, antivirus, encryption — layer your defenses or wake up to an empty wallet and a trashed reputation. CREW UP Join a crew for encrypted chat, coordinated PvP raids, and crew-wide rootkit debuffs on rival hackers. CLIMB THE RANKS Daily missions, login streaks, and PvP leaderboards. Every hack, every upgrade, every defense matters. CUSTOMIZE YOUR DEVICE Unlock wallpapers as you upgrade. Collect themed packs like NetRunner, Sentinel, and the Legacy Collection. The OG mobile hacking sim returns — now bigger, deeper, and more competitive. The OG mobile hacking sim returns — now bigger, deeper, and more competitive. Become the world's top hacker in the ultimate real-time PvP game. Free to play. No hacking knowledge required. This is not a real hacking tool — this is a game. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Omega Protocol at 100% against Hack Ex 2's 50%. Omega Protocol also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). Hack Ex 2's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (83 vs 8). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hack Ex 2 sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Omega Protocol asks for nothing beyond the download.
Hack Ex 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hack Ex 2 has 83 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Hack Ex 2's written reviews are positive against 100% of Omega Protocol's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Hack Ex 2 ships an update every 6 days, Omega Protocol every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
