Get to know a codebase one small piece at a time. doomscroll turns selected files from a GitHub repository into readable code cards with prompts and source context. READ, EXPLAIN, REVISIT • Import a public GitHub repo or a scoped folder • Read functions, types, and patterns in their original code • Try explaining the code before revealing its source comments or reading prompt • Open a card’s source at the exact imported commit and line range • Choose again, skip, or got it using swipes or buttons YOUR OWN REVIEW Unseen cards appear first, then cards you have reviewed least recently. Three consecutive “got it” ratings complete a card’s review. Ratings reflect your own confidence; they are not a test of understanding or a spaced-interval scheduler. KEEP CONTEXT Supports TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Go, and Swift. Extraction is heuristic and can miss or imperfectly extract constructs. Each import selects up to 40 files and creates up to 50 cards. Unchanged cards retain local progress; changes to their code, prompt, or explanation reset it. TRY IT FIRST The built-in demo needs no account or network connection. Import portable JSON decks for local study. GitHub imports and reopening GitHub repositories require a connection. PRIVACY No doomscroll account, advertising, analytics, or cloud sync. Review progress stays on your device. GitHub imports contact GitHub; optional native access tokens use the device credential vault. Browser tokens last only for the current page session. Read the app privacy policy for details.
